OUR MISSION
Local Commotion is a creative learning experience. Its mission is to integrate performance with education, going beyond the scope of historical text. It is Kati's determination to poignantly recreate American women from a simple pilgrim to those who opposed the injustices of slavery, demanding civil rights for all and all the strong ones in-between. She wishes to make this part of U.S. history tangible and accessible to audiences everywhere: to instill in them a deeper understanding of our past and how it shapes our future.

IMPACT
Audiences of students, families and seniors alike remain enthralled during our performances. With integrity, Kati weaves together dress, the spoken word, and songs of the times into the presentation. The question and answer period is an intrinsic part of our program. It creates a strong bond of communication and repartee; one that engages both performer and audience. As performers, it is invigorating, and stimulating to experience this. One of our walking history presentations is a wonderful and exciting way to experience history!

There is no limit to where Local Commotion's programs can be presented. What can we do for you?
